Les Grilles Du Palais Royal
Romain and I are family, that's why we went together for breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, note that I am talking about a breakfast and not a brunch.
Indeed we do not like that the hams, smoked salmon and cheeses, with the salad leaves alike, bath in the dressing and I particulary dislike the little bits of carrots on that are randomly put on top.
The breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien is otherwise really good and filling, sublime fruit jams, delicious nuts, chocolate, and milk spreads, fresh beautiful bread, egg à la coque, fresh brewed coffee (one cup only, sorry about that). We finished by spliting a plate of hams and cheese, we were ready for what was coming next : our occasional sunday walk.
The good point in the brunch is probably that you can have several coffee.(If you like the salad)
This week we went from the heart of Le Marais, near Hotel de Ville to the Champs Elysée, via the Seine's sunny right bank, from there, after a short stop at the Fnac store and some shopping at Sephora we came back to our pad to enjoy some hot tea.
On our way back we stopped in the beautiful and charming Palais Royal's garden, near by the Louvres museum. The light was superb and the place was packed with kids, tourists and families. One smart kid was picking, in one of the foutain, all of the coins he could get with a magnet, I found it cute and I disagreed silently to the word of a family father about to throw some coins in it, supposedly to get good luck.
On top the Seine river from the Right bank, Alexandre's III bridge and, hu, the Eiffel tower.
Under, the gates at the Palais Royal's garden.
Sundays in the sun...
